Meet my giraff!

I had a lovely birthday weekend. It just really felt like all was right with the world. And that was before I was given this:


My sweet Swedish friend crocheted her for me (can you tell by the colors?)! Turns out giraffe is almost the same in Swedish - giraff. Not so in Japanese where it's kirin. Isn't she kawaii?

If you have never made homemade pita bread before you should give it a try. Really easy but so rewarding when it puffs up like this! Here's the best recipe I've found so far.
